Jim Cassell is a former Youth Academy Director at Manchester City Football Club. He has been responsible for the development of players such as Shaun Wright Phillips, Joey Barton, Stephen Ireland, Nedum Onuoha, Daniel Sturridge, Michael Johnson and Micah Richards and many others. Cassell is a former professional player himself with Bury FC, before retiring due to a knee injury. Jim's entire professional football career began and ended in the 1970-71 season.
